“We rented a large cabin and the place was great. Just be aware that the cabins are 1 room so there where 5 bunk beds and a single bed in an open area. They are doing some construction in the park but the noise was limited to earlier daytime. Very quite park. I believe all the sites have lake access. As well as drinking water. Keep In mind that it's about 50yrd to the water so a heavy kayak will be tough but a boat ramp is also in the park. One of the nicest I've seen. 3 ramps total and I had to leave 3 nice kayaks with motor and batteries and fishing gear there for several hours as we were packing up to leave and a storm popped up. To my surprise everything was still there. One of the hidden gems. It's very affordable fun for the whole family. Or could be a Romantic getaway for the parents. Locals tell me they are gonna start allowing private docks on the lake and if so this treasure will be gone. So go soon. Oh and the store and grill at the end of the road is good. They have a little outdoor shop connected to it as well and if you need tackle or anything and that is closed they will open and allow u to go in. Nice people running the park. We had to upgrade from a small to a large cabin and they handled that perfectly. Also my water pump went out on my truck so had to replace that at the cabin and took a little while extra but I called the ranger and since there was nobody behind us they allowed us to use the cabin while I fixed my truck since it started storming. They could've easily charged us another day but did not. So if your on the fence about this one book it.”

“Great history of the Superior area!! The coal car pictured was completely restored by my father Denzil Acklin and his best friend Bob Morgan who both were residence of the mining camp as children!!! The Superior Historical Commission has done a wonderful job bringing back the mining days of the Superior area!!! Please visit the museum and learn about the hardships and good times the early township lived through!!”

“Park itself has the perfect running sidewalk with just shy of a 1/4 mile loop. A nice playground in the shade. Basketball court was being shared nicely. The field would be good for throwing a football. However all that falls in the shadows of inconsiderate pet owners. I witnessed tonight alone 2 dog owners allowing thier pups use the field as their potty and not cl an up after them. Shame on you. You give responsible pet owners bad name. And put them on a leash!”

“Fine sand beach. Big trees if you want shade. Public bathroom, showers, and street parking. White Bear Lake is cleaner than most city lakes. Lots of little kids because the water is so shallow, but no life guard as of 2021.”

“Boat ramp here which leads to easy access to Longboat Key, Lido Key, the Gulf, Sarasota Bay, easy cruise up to the C'zan (Ringling Museum) A bunch of beautiful houses to gaze at. Use your depth finder if you're boating in this area as there are many shallow parts that will creep up on you if you're not paying attention. Luckily we cruise around in a jet boat so never had any issues.”
