“Jackson Bottom is a visual symphony of terrain and bird cornucopia, including eagles! Everyone should visit and donate. HOWEVER the whole thing is under water during the winter! I went here in December and yeah, 90% submerged, not worth the drive at all. So make sure to check ahead that the park has sufficiently toweled itself off. If you're visiting to attend a program in the visitors' center the season doesn't matter as much I suppose.”

“Woodland Mound is a treasure and I'm not sure how I've gone this long without being there before now. There are multiple relatively short hiking trails of varying difficulty, a wonderful overlook to see the river and changing leaves on all the trees. There is a Waterpark for children available during warmer weather, a walking/biking path, lots of places for disc golf, and a lot of nice places to sit and enjoy the landscaping and beautiful scenery. This place is easy to find, has plenty of place for parking, and they offer guided hikes and activities year round. Don't miss out on this gem.”

“Great park for walking around, playing sports, or having a picnic. There are three playground areas which are all very well kept. The park includes several shelters with picnic tables and grills, along with a variety of sports fields. I personally enjoy the beech volleyball field next to one of the playgrounds most but that also have several baseball fields and batting cages. Last but not least the park has a massive trail going around the whole lake.”

“These guys are great! Rented a tri-toon Saturday and it ran flawlessly, even out in St. Joseph Sound. The 2 guys at the dock were very helpful during our multiple visits to help load and unload. Will rent from here again.”

“It's a nice little park along the side of the beltline near Old Sauk. Very flat, so not a destination for wintertime sledding. It could use a bathroom. But it has a nice playground and a large field with soccer goals. Also a covered pavilion for picnicking or birthday parties that you can reserve in advance. With little kids it can be fun to explore the plants and wildflowers that grow along the western edge of the park right up against the beltline wall. Plenty of street parking along High Point. Never crowded.”

“We have been utilizing this park for many years for many different activities. Well kept and maintained by our community. They used to host a teddy bear picnic annually pre-C-Vid. Lately we've been playing in the snow here, but otherwise it's a lovely summer park with a lot of apple trees. Please, keep an eye on your little ones. These trees are paid for by donation, work by donation, and in the fall it will be time to harvest the bounty of all that hard work. No breaking branches, as these apples feed lots of people. Wildlife too. Have fun!!”

“Astoria Park was beautiful tonight. Clean and beautiful. There was an awesome free concert by the rock band Spitfire. Families picnicking, political and environmental activists holding nice events for clean energy and the Rider's Alliance to promote a better Mta. I felt peaceful as I sat on the grass and the lightning bugs flew around, shining a pretty green light. The pool was closed but glowed as night came and looked so clean. The boats were on the East River.it was a beautiful night.”

“This is a very well-kept Park had an amazing Trail on both ends. You'll find plenty of space some kids climbing toys and a well-maintained area. Bring your bicycle skateboard dogs . This is what a park is supposed to be. Props to the Machias and Lake Stevens Community for making this happen!”
