“I had always heard of this park but never got the chance to check it out until last weekend for a friend's child's birthday party. The park is huge with so much space for people to spread out, and also very clean. I loved walking around the ponds seeing the ducks and small waterfalls.”

“This has a resort feel! Well staffed, even during this summer of labor shortages. The staff are friendly and helpful. Bath houses are clean! Lots of amenities and very well maintained! 3 miles to beach with a bike bath. We will definitely be back! Good value!”

“This is my childhood park, so I love bringing my kid here. Decent park, with hidden horse shoe pits that are always free. No bathroom, and the playground is outdated and faded. That being said, nice neighborhood park that we visit several times a week.”

“Its a small secluded park on the water which is perfect for some peace and quiet when you need it most. Someone nearby owns chickens so if you luck out you might get to see them! I love chickens! :) This park is great for romantic picnics”

“Stopped in to catch up on some paperwork in the truck office. There were two sandhill cranes next to the truck. Had the windows down thoroughly enjoying listening to them talk. I've heard them talk when they're flying overhead but not right next to them before. They are LOUD 📢📢📢📢. Still worth the price of admissions... Free...”

“Nice park with ok pond. The the pond had a lot of vegetation in it, so I kept catching lots of branches and grass instead of fish.”

“Best Lake/campground around. I've been coming to this lake since I was a child and it is still the cleanest and has the best facilities for boating, hiking and camping anywhere in central NC. I would recommend Jordan Lake to anyone who is looking for a nice quiet peaceful retreat away from the hectic life of everyday.”

“Fantastic park for hiking, running, biking. I have run many miles along the tow path alongside the canal. In other areas of the park there are also some great spots for running, but it is more trail running - watch your ankles! Along the canal tow path the running is flat and easy. Aside from exercise, the historical buildings are impressive. This is a great weekend visit if you are within driving distance.”

“A true refuge from the modern world. It is the best little slice of paradise I have found in 36 years of searching. Be careful walking down the steps on the nature trail after it rains. Hold the railing. I slipped and almost went down. The archery range goes from 7 to 50 yards. A year pass is only 40 dollars, and it may be best money I have ever spent. They have a trap range as well, the range master runs a tight operation. Tldr: that place is awesome. I recommend it highly.”

“This is my go to walk/run/jog/bike place in the Fort Worth area. It is clean most of the time and most folks are friendly. At times, it can be quite packed and increasingly cyclists are not announcing or letting you know they are riding past you as they zoom by that can be a recipe for injury. Increasingly there has been more safety patrols which is good for all.”
Address: 13266 Pilot Knob Rd, Apple Valley, MN 55124, USA
“This park has a lot: playground, basketball hoop, horseshoes, 3 pavilions (2 small, 1 medium), tennis courts, walking path with uphills and downhills, sand volleyball, fishing pier, restrooms and large grassy field. The only drawback is if you come in from Pilot Knob, you have to walk out of sight of the parking lot to get to anything but the small pavilion, grassy field or pier. There is also a small parking lot on the back side of the park, next to the playground, which you get to through some side streets.”

“Every visit is always a great one. Beautiful scenery and there is something to do for just about everyone to enjoy. Walking and biking trails. Fossils mines. Dog park and fire pit next to the waterfall and pond, and parking in different locations to choose from to put you closer to the part of the trail you interested in”

“Last stop on a 7,000 mile road trip and was our favorite park. Great sunsets every night. All the facilities are well maintained and kept clean. Free wifi (that actually works). Free laundry. Great walking trails. Amazing staff who are always buzzing around the park working. Can’t recommend this place enough.”

“This is a relatively nice sized play structure. On the 5-12 age play structure there’s only one small slide. The rest of the structure is mostly upper body. There are two different types of monkey bars, some rope courses, and various other climbing structures. The 2-5 age play structure has 3 slides and a steering wheel on it. There are 4 big kid swings and 1 little kid swing with room for another. The flooring under the bigger structure has some bounce and the rest is mostly wood chucks. There are benches, two picnic tables and a picnic shelter with seating under it. There’s also a small open grass area. There is no restroom and parking is on the street which is limited. There was also a good bit of trash from people just not picking up after themselves.”

“A small square that is full of magnificent flowering magnolia trees, with a quaint bronze sundial in the middle. The peak flowering season of these trees is in early spring, before the cherry blossoms have reached peak bloom. If you enter the garden in early spring and see no cherry blossoms, this will be a good place to hit up.”
